Kiehl's Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate Review

Clogged pores and rough skin have been problems i have always faced, especially after trying new cosmetic/ skincare products which might not be too suitable for my skin and causes my skin to clog and breakout with pimples!

Around 2 months back, i started trying out this Cushion Foundation from a very popular brand which caused my skin to clog so badly and it was pretty serious cos even my forehead (which usually don't clog/breakout) was clogged too :(

At that point of time, Kiehl's was heavily marketing this product [Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate] everywhere on my Instagram/ Facebook Feed, bloggers reviewing it. Best part, don't you think so too that the name itself [Micro Peel Concentrate] already sounds like it can work wonders? I have heard from my doctor that Chemical Peels are great for ladies who wish to have smoother skin and really helped in getting rid of all the clogged pores !

I have also gotten samples from them previously (when my skin was still okay) and it really helped leaving my skin feeling smooth!

Immediately got my Fiance to get the full botttle for me in stores since he was outside and i really needed this product to safe my poor skin! Oh my, it is now my Holy Grail skincare product!

What is Kiehl's NIghtly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate?

It helps to refine the feel of rough texture and reveal newly radiant, refreshed skin. Formulated with Quinoa Husk Extract, this micro-peeling solution works to help accelerate surface skin's night time cell turnover process to release dull surface skin Overtime, it helps to refine texture and smooth skin's surface while visibly even out skin tone.

How To Use?

Apply every night on cleansed face and before moisturiser. For me, i use it after my toner and before my moisturiser.

*Note that this product contains AHA so i make sure to apply a thick layer of sunblock every morning as it might increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun and causes sunburn. Also why you use it only before bed time.

Review

I absolutely love love love this product! I love how the formula is non greasy, very lightweight, absorbs instantly and best part, does not cause any sensitivity at all on my skin! My skin definitely felt smoother to the touch the next morning but my clogged pores are still there though. However, after using it every night for a week, it definitely exfoliated away my clogged pores and now, it has been 6 weeks of continuous usage and my skin is now smoother, softer than before and best part, free from clogged pores again!

Look at the texture! Only gently massage around 2 small rounds and it's already absorbed!

*Note that within this 6 weeks, i did not do any laser facial and also did not use any new skincare products! I am super amazed by how my skin healed by itself without the help of laser facials and solely only this Kiehl's Micro-Peel Concentrate trhat i have added into my skincare routine!

Sorry if i have scared you :'( - If you have not already known, this is how my skin looks close up. There's still red deep scarrings left from previous skin troubles.

Not sure if you can tell that the bumps are gone and my skin doesnt look so rough anymore! The whole texture of my skin improved the most! Slight difference in lighting though!

Kiehl's market this product as one that helps achieve baby smooth skin (or somewhere along this line). For me, i have never expected my skin to be smooth like a baby's butt ever again. But if you already have good skin to begin with and really want your skin to be even smoother and softer to the touch, do try this! I'm sure it will work for you!

But what i know is that my skin is smoother and also softer to the touch now! For those people like me who have never tried chemical peels and is afraid that the procedure might be too strong for the skin/ expensive, why not try Kiehl's Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate first? Of course, i don't think this product will help in minimizing of large pores but at least for me, it helped in my troubled skin! Plus, it's only 6 weeks. Do give this baby some time and who knows it might work on large pores too!?

Priced at $99, 30ml, it is not cheap at all. But, afew drops is all you need for the whole face! For 6 weeks already, i have used less than 1/10 of the bottle and i believe it can last me for another 6 more months!

Will i buy it again?

Yea, duh?! I'm rating it like a 10 out of 5 stars for rescuing my clogged skin! To me, it feels like a cheaper and everyday version of a laser facial that gently exfoliates to renew skin cells for a smoother complexion!

My Fiance bought me their sunblock too so that i could join as a member and receive free 3 piece travel size products! That sunblock feels really nice on the skin too! For now, i am starting to really love Kiehl's products and am looking forward to trying out more of their products! JUST TAKE MY MONEY. <3
