If you have not read Part 1, please read it here

Previous post was more on taking care of the skin from the outside and keeping skin hydrated in preventing clogged pores.

Will be writing more on the food to avoid in this post.

Note again that these are the food that i noticed that causes me to breakout after doing alot of research plus also happened to others as well after reading some reviews online.

1) Peanuts

This one really very potent in causing me to get alot of hormonal acne.

I remember while i was in my uni and mugging hard, i tend to buy alot of junk food to eat while studying. There was once i bought a packet of peanuts to eat and my jawline broke out so badly within the next few days.

Wasn't sure if it was stress or peanuts that caused all the acne until i have done some researched and also ate peanuts on different occasions and really noticed that the peanuts' the culprit! Example: Rojak, Muah Chee. Nope, i can't eat any of those :(

Noticed that i get one or two tiny acne on my jaw/neck when i accidentally ate peanut. Just a tiny bit also cannot.

2) Dairy

"However, cows still pump tons of growth hormones into their milk to make their calves grow big and strong, and these natural hormones (IGF-1, growth hormone) are some of the main reasons that dairy causes acne." - clearskinforever.net

Dairy causes your skin to produce excess sebum (oil) which means more clogged pores and acne!

Wasn't a fan of drinking milk since young. But there were weird days where i will crave for milk. I love cheese though. And after drinking a small packet of milk, i do see myself getting acne on my jawline & neck as usual.

Come other food that might cause acne but not so much of a problem to me:

1) Sugar

I'm not a fan of sugary drinks nor food so i'm not sure about this.

But anyway, sugary food aren't good for the body anyway and especially if you wanna stay slim!

2) Soy

I still eat my tofu and drink my soy milk at times. But, they are not so much of a problem to me. I mean, at least i dont see acne popping out after i drink a cup of soy milk so i gues it's not as bad as Diary milk.

3) High glycemic foods (White breads/ Rice etc)

Well, bread/ grains are just full of sugar. I usually have bread in the morning and rice at night almost everyday. Again, not so much of a problem to me. Perhaps you can try cutting them down. Anyway again, sugar is bad for the body anyway!

Do share with me if you know of any food to avoid to minimize hormonal acne! I will be so thankful! <3

But at the meantime, do check out my post on the supplement i have been taking in preventing my acne here. :)
