I believe there's no women out there who don't love Laneige.
Either for it's super well known Water Sleeping Pack or for Song Hye Kyo! (Although i prefer Lee Sung Kyung from Cheese in the trap).
But that's not the point cause i'm reviewing on Laneige's Lip Sleeping Mask, not it's Cushion Foundation nor 2-Tone Lip Bar haha!
I have really dry chapped lips almost every other day. I'm usually too lazy to put on lip balm in the day cos i dont like having anything on my lips when i'm drinking/eating. Which means, only way for me to have soft lips in the morning? Treatment at night!
I have used quite a number of lip balms but nothing worked well in removing thise dead skin on my lips.
What i look at for a good Lip Balm/ Lip Treatment: Moisturising, Not too sticky, Able to exfoliate the next day (will show you what i meant below).
So i had to find a replacement! Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask was a new product when i purchased it. Kinda love-hate it at first!
What Laneige says about this Lip Sleeping Mask:
- Vitamin C Berry Mix Complex, containing raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, blueberry extracts to erase dry flaky dead skin at night,
making lips feel smooth & supple the next morning
(I LOVE ANYTHING BERRIES!!!)
- Hyaluronic Acid Mineral forms a moisturizing film to lock in active ingredients & to retain moisture throughout the night
How To Use:
Step 1: Apply a liberal amount before bed
Effect: melts stubborn dead skin cells and provides moisture
Step 2: Next morning, wipe of with a tissue/ cotton pad
Effect: Makes lips smooth & elastic by removing dead skin cells
Review:

Purchased this without really reading reviews so for the first few times, i only applied a thin layer and nothing much happened to my lips. Lips still chapped the next day.
Finally realized myself one fine day that i should apply a thicker layer instead! Was super amazed by how i could see dead skin on my lips when i rub my lips after brushing my teeth!
Result is softer and smooth lips. But, i didnt really like that sticky feeling on my lips and finger though!

What i meant by exfoliating my lips! Look at those dead skin eww

My lips look kinda plumped actually! Realized it only while i was putting these photos together :D
Normal lip balms moisturises the lip but to me is not so much of a "cure" to my chapped lips though, just temporary. This Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask keeps my skin feeling soft for around 2 days without me having the need to apply anything so i love it! As for Lip Balms, i sually apply them before wearing lipsticks to kinda just act as a base before my lipstick!
Will i recommend it?
Yes! If you have chapped lips like mine, you should totally invest in this lip mask. Although it's rather expensive for this tiny jar, it can last me for so long! A tiny pea size is enough for the lips so it's still very affordable!
Exfoliating is super important. Imagine your lips full of dead skin cells. No matter how much lip balm you are layering on, it can never penetrate into your lips and just be piling ontop of those dead skin. It's disgusting LOL!
I'm not sure if you can use it everyday but for me, i use it only when my lips are chapped (every 2-3 days). I have seen people using it as a lip balm in the morning. I'm not sure about the effect but i dont think i will ever try it cause it's really too sticky and heavy for my liking!
