reSKINZ Skin Hydrating Solution - Moisture Activator Toner II + Gel

I'm back with another review!

These products are my current favourites and what i feel have been helping my skin to stay hydrated for the past months.

reSKINZ is a Korean Dermatologist Skincare Brand originated from Korean Aesthetic Clinic (Plastic Surgery etc). Korean skincare brands are the BEST. I love them! When i was younger, i would usually purchase my skincare from Watsons and many of the "highly raved" skincare brands were not Asian brands. Which means, alot of them weren't suitable for my skin.

These two products, as you can see from the title, is a Hydrating Toner & Gel!

Let me first talk about the Gel (since it was the first one i purchased before the Toner).

reSKINZ Moisture Activator Gel (Written on it's packaging):

- Lightweight daily moisturiser that works wonderfully with your skin

- Instantly absorbed, leaving your skin fresh and hydrated all day

- For intensive treatment, apply a thick layer which creates a "water spa" that rehydrates and repairs damaged and dry skin

- Can be used as a sleeping pack

Ingredients:

- Makgeolli - Fermented Rice Extract, contribute to regeneration of damaged/ dead renew skin pigments and production of collagen with high antioxidant benefit

- Chlorella Vulgaris & Fucus Vesiculosus Extract - Seaweed & Algae Extract that provides protection from free radical damage and deep hydration of skin while locking moisture into skin

- Hyaluronate - Improves moisture retention and achieving a highly effective hydrating performance

- Ceramide - Fortifies moisture barrier of skin to prevent moisture loss while providing long time hydrating effect

I have really dehydrated-oily skin. So finding the right moisturiser with the perfect texture can be rather challenging. Something too heavy (creams) will clog my pores and something too light (watery gels) might not be moisturising enough for me.

reSKINZ Moisture Activator Gel is a moisturiser that has a thick gel consistency. It glides on easily and abosrbs into the skin well too! Great for both day and night use i feel! I'm already into my 4th bottle (started using last year) and i still love it!

Only con about this is that it does not come with a spatula. But i'm okay with it as i'm used to using cotton q-tips.

Gel texture, absorbs well into skin!

Before using reSKINZ Moisture Activator Gel, i was using different moisturisers and many of the gels did not work on my skin.

One of which is this one below on the left.

Highly raved gel moisturiser by many bloggers. It does what it says definitely. Lightweight for Oily Skin. Unfortunately, it was too light and not moisturising enough for my skin. I stupidly used it at night too -.-

My face started peeling after using for around a week? Definitely a great day time moisturiser if you have Oily Skin (not dehydrated skin) or Normal Skin but not for my skin's liking.

The difference in texture. I personally look out for textures like the one from reSKINZ (right). "Non see through gel texture".

Will i recommend reSKINZ Moisture Activator Gel?

Definitely! I mean, i am already into my 4th Jar?! I might try a gel moisturiser from another brand if i can find a similar texture to this though. Cause i was never loyal to any brands. But this moisturiser is by far one of the few products in my life that i have repurchased over and over again!

If you have dry skin, i don't think this will work on your skin at night. but as a day moisturiser should be okay! Great as a base for makeup too i feel!

reSKINZ Moisture Activator Toner I (Enriched) - Written on it's packaging:

- Moisture Activator Toner contains 50% Moisture Activator Essence and 50% Toner

- Instantly dissolves into the skin, leaving it super hydrated and subtle

Ingredients: Exactly same as the Gel. They didnt have the full ingredient list printed on the packing though.

Comes in two types. Toner I (Refreshing) for oily skin, Toner II (Enriched) for normal to dry skin, which is the one i'm using.

What i really love about this toner is that it has a thicker consistency (added essence) and i like how it is more moisturising on my skin!

My skin immediately feels softer and hydrated. What i do is pour ~2 drops of toner onto my palms and pat into my skin straight away!

Using a cotton with this product causes wastage.

It does not feel like normal toners which are watery. But it's texture is super lightweight! Noticed that Toners from Korea are usually thicker!

Although it is in a pour bottle, i like how it flows out really slowly so yay to minimal wastage! This one bottle lasted me for ~ 6 months already and i'm still using it! I dont think there is anything i dislike about it. it has a pleasant and fresh scent to it. Not heavily scented which i hate.

Will i recommend reSKINZ Moisture Activator Toner?

Yes! I could immediatly feel my skin becoming smoother and more hydrated after using. Plus, due to my easily clogged skin, i tend to skip essence/serum. So this product is a plus for me since it is a toner + essence

If you have oily skin, you might want to try Toner I which is more watery!

And these are part of the skincare products i'm currently using. I wonder what i should review on next? :D
